Why do we need such a huge defense budget (more than the next 10 countries combined) and can’t leave 2500 troops in Afghanistan to provide some protection for women/girls there? What’s the point other than enriching defense contractors?

The greatest threat to our democracy is fraud and the lack of confidence in the system. When one side blocks transparency, it breeds more suspicion and leads to a collapse of democracy. Elections are constitutionally run by the States. A federal take over is akin to a coup.

i would arbitrarily reallocate 20% of defense. 10% reduction & 10% to cyber espionage defense (in addition to what it already has but undisclosed).

What's sad is there are still people who believe our govt when they pretend to be pro-democracy or act like they care about the lives of others abroad. They don't care about anyone but the 1%. The sooner we realize this, the sooner we can fix this evil, self-destructive system.
