USA hasn't been a capitalist country since early 1900s. Its increasingly a collectivist plutocracy. Convenient to blame it on capitalism. It would make more sense if you railed against Wall St/bankers - they are the ultimate socialists (privatizing gains, socializing losses).

Compare US poverty with the average established socialist country. I don't get why you're arguing against this point unless you're very close to identifying as a socialist.

The fact people are not starving does not mean there’s not hunger in America. There is serious hunger here. And many obese children are actually malnourished, by the way.
