Precisely the reaction we are programmed to display. When critical thinking SHOULD have us considering the fact that only the wealthy CAN be in the Olympics. It has been co-opted from "best on earth at xyz", to being best among the empowered. I have zero time for elitism.

That is an inaccurate portrayal of the socioeconomic reality of the average Olympic athlete.
