What it takes to be on an Olympic team is so much work, so much hardship, so much sacrifice and so much excellence. These athletes are amazing. The opening ceremony almost makes me wanna cry.

While you're watching the Olympics, these Afghan kids are trying to avoid Biden's bombs. I guess in your mind Biden's bombs aren't as authoritarian as Trump's bombs.

Especially the small countries with such relativelysmall budgets. Being one of say five athletes from a country of 3-4 million, with maybe 2 or 3 medals ever, it has to mean the world to them and you can see it. Makes you want to pull for them…

The dedication ... the devotion ... and the hard work ... of these athletes isn't that much difference from your's ... Today you begin your journey for the ... GOLD!

That’s one reason they should be paid for competing. The money that’s being made off of this event is going to wreak havoc on the local community & neither the locals nor the athletes will benefit from the profits that’ll be made off of the olympics. THAT makes me want to cry.

I have seen 10 #Olympics up to year 2000 then when they switched to every two years, I've watched 11 more

Yup. And can you believe that 100 of them, just from our delegation are unvaccinated?
