Ending slavery didn’t end racism, giving women the right to vote didn’t end misogyny & overthrowing the British aristocracy in 1776 didn’t rid the American mind of its sick attraction to an aristocratic economic paradigm. The next stage of our healing is the healing of our minds.

Absolutely... and Marianne, Perhaps even with Government Reparations..... No matter how much money is thrown at this as a gesture of acknowledgement, will not create healing UNTIL the minds of the people are changed. As long as racism exists in the mind, it will never heal.
