I cannot understand the lack of urgency around this. It isn’t just about whether Democrats have power; it’s about whether or not we have a democracy.
Dems have until around August 16 to reform redistricting. If they don’t, GOP will lock them out of power for a decade. Yet, the reform is stalled due to the filibuster, Dems are working on other things, and House and Senate are going on recess next month. dailyposter.com/the-decades-…

The explanation that best fits the facts is that the Democrats like being a minority party, the fundraising is easy and the expectations are low.

I can understand it, if I assume that the Democrats long-term goal is to keep things as they are. Actual democracy is risky and unpredictable. Bad for business.

It’s easy to see the dominoes fall if the R’s take the House in 2020. Decades? There will no longer be elections.

Yeah! Only dems are allowed to that!
Not too surprising. The Democrats like to talk the talk but they don’t walk the walk. They like having a foil to blame things on— especially when they don’t really want to do many of those things anyway. And they still largely do the bidding of the donor class.

They still seem to be playing the optics of how bad the Repubs are to be doing this, as if that somehow increases the likelihood of winning elections in a system constantly working to disenfranchise.

You cannot understand? Really?

It's about the Democrats pretending to give a fuck when really they will use every excuse in the book to avoid legislating for their constituents.
