1/ I read an article today about why so many people are angry online. There are many reasons of course, but at their core all solutions have a spiritual dimension...

2/ The over-financialization of our society has desacralized the world, leaving people with fewer & fewer ways to connect with the tender & fragile dimensions that make life meaningful. Material forces have been deemed some ultimate reality & inner dimensions given short shrift.

3/ This has disconnected us from any sense of meaning beyond our identity as consumers and our dog-eat-dog need to compete for survival in a world that shows less and less compassion for anyone.

4/ Separated from the essential spirit or soul that is the core of our humanity, people are thrown into internal chaos and fear. Everyone and everything seems dangerous, the online world providing an allowable place to express the rage that is a cover for our despair.

5/ We will need to heal this rift and re-sacralize our world, or the internal chaos too many of us experience and then project onto the world will destroy us. Every day is an opportunity to do our part to help reweave the torn fabric of human civilization.

6/ Whatever we do, whatever we are, affects the world in ways we can’t even imagine. Tiny filaments of energy flow forth from every thought we think. It’s not just a matter of our own inner peace, but the collective effort that is needed now in order to save the world.
