The monthly child tax credits started this week. This is a huge achievement and every anti-poverty activist over the last several years deserves a LOT of credit. This is why activism matters! Now to making the tax credits permanent. Thank you @POTUS google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.co…

Pretty pathetic that, that is a 'huge' achievement.

It actually is though. It affects 60 million children.

It paid for the gas that went up to $3.30 under Biden! Their token is a joke!

This child tax credit is a big freaking deal that will help lots of kids and families across the country. Thanks to Biden and the Democrats for passing this into law!
"Since 2003, Rep. Rosa DeLauro has been a voice — sometimes the lone one — in a push to expand the child tax credit to the nation’s poorest children. With President Joe Biden’s support, the plan is likely to pass" ... This is Great News ... and I hope it becomes Permanent!
Why? Just REDUCE taxes!

Doesn't help those without kids, those whose kids are too old, or those that don't earn enough to pay federal taxes (i.e. the poorest of the poor). Better a child payment. And why not simply then give it to everyone. As in a monthly stimulus check.

I have a baby due in January so I’m pretty concerned they’re going to fail to make them permanent just in time for my family to get fucked over. What’s new with democrats.

Now let's do something for low income seniors. Reagan signed a law taxing Social Security for seniors with other income over $25K. Were that figure adjusted for today's dollar, it would be $66K. It's still $25K. It needs to change.
