“There is no state, county or city in the country where a full-time, minimum-wage worker working 40 hours a week can afford a two-bedroom rental.” This should be seen as a national emergency. #RaisetheWage google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com…

Meanwhile a client of mine is desperate for workers, pays way over minimum wage, pays for college, benefits, and they can't find workers. There's no reason to stay in a minimum wage job when companies are competing for hard workers.

An economy is not built with a nation of Uber drivers. If fast food raised the minimum wage the cost of fast food (which is consumed largely by low-income people) would go up. The solution is massive national infrastructure to create HIGH PAYING jobs. America can join the BRI!

If fewer people have an address for registering to vote then fewer people can vote. It's win-win for the GOP. Not that Democrats are any better, don't see them addressing the issue.

@marwilliamson Isn't this the way our economic system is supposed to function? Employers pay as little as they can and owners of rentals charge as much as they can.

Two bedrooms? Two bedrooms??? 20 years ago it was a privilege to have less than two roommates.

Um they can’t afford a one bedroom either.

I don't know what you mean. I love being in my 30s, making a fair bit more than minimum, and still needing my parents to cosign my lease.
