Thinking other planets are key to an utopian reality is just humanity doing a "geographic:" wherever you go you take yourself with you. Right now we'd mess up other planets as much as we've messed up this one. I hope for their sake we can't settle there til we're more enlightened

Yes! ... The problem with traveling to another planet is ... US ... until we become better stewards or our planet ... we have no business traveling anywhere else!

I think space is in firm command of whether it is explored or not. That's to say... if there's intelligent life out there [100%] and it is aware of humanity on Earth and its incessant need to domineer, pillage, colonize & inevitably ruin.. why would it be up to humans period?
