The minimum wage was $3.50 an hour in the mid 80's .The cost of living has quadrupled but minimum wage is only five dollars more an hour.The price of gas is so high you have to work 2 hours to pay for 3 gallons of gas.

Think about this: You make $60K. Rent is $2500 x 12. $30K. Add in cable, cell phone, power. Then food & auto expenses. So for minimum wage folks, it's insane. But it's all kewl billionaires can launch into space for poops & giggles.
