Start with development, not what type of government you want. Development creates jobs and eliminates both poverty and crime.

Never discuss religious, political & other solutions, 'democracy' or the kind of gov't you want. Start with economic development. Show the Afghani people and their leaders how their country will look in the future and the willingness that you will help them create that future.

What am I waking up from exactly? Why do I have to base my vision on current existing countries? We can't even get universal healthcare though it's widely available in the developed world. I'll start with one of those that pays workers well and isn't in endless war. They exist.
