The last Gilded Age was followed by a Progressive Era and this one will be too. People will only take so much. America has self-corrected in the past and we’re going to self-correct again.

America was a different country and had an actual effective left with Massive strikes. We can barely get a failing vote for M4A. There is no course correction, just decline

The last Gilded Age didn't coincide with an extinction event... but sure, perhaps the mad max era on the horizon could technically be called 'progressive' in a way.

I hope you're right but unfortunately this time is also the precipice of an unprecedented crises-- climate apocalypse so it may just be too late now especially since we have biden/Harris protecting the status quo & brainwashed VBNW voters defending them when the time has run out

The gilded age was also directly followed by the rise of the US imperial empire lol. It’s not an accident that we offshored all of our exploitation under a guise of domestic progressivism lol.
