No Ben, during slavery family members were torn apart in order to be sold separately and women were routinely raped by their slaveowners. It was “government” that ultimately abolished slavery, it was “government” that passed the Civil Rights Act & Voting Rights Act (now gutted).

Need to stop engaging in good faith with these people. Ben Carson knows all of this. He's weaponizing a fascist fictional narrative as a rallying point to consolidate a Neo Confederate authoritarian insurgency group.

He said strong family units and faith got them through slavery and bad government. Now all we have left is bad government without family units and faith.

The family eventually didn't even exist, because slaves were bred like kettle, children taken away from mothers early, kept in enclosures untill old enough to be sold.

Hard to believe that he has a medical degree and the intelligence to think that government assistance is worse than the conditions of slavery.

But you're also claiming that Bill Cosby admitted to crimes when he did not in order to justify you participating in the great American slavery tradition of falsely imprisoning black people, so which side are you on?
