.@POTUS mentioned today the problem of corporate monopolies in Big Ag, Big Tech & Big Pharma. Some will choose to be cynical - obviously so much more is needed - but no president has talked that way in many, many decades and that of itself is a really big deal.

What he talks about doesnโ€™t matter. What he does matters.
Trouble is the Big Ones own the government, not the other way around. It's good to be optimistic.
It's not enough because he's not going to actually do anything about it while they helped him into the White House.

Jesus Christ...it's not cynical, Marianne. Some of us are SERIOUSLY affected by their corporate greed and heartlessness. Needless to say, we are not buying that Biden and the democrats have suddenly had some spiritual awakening and now care about human life.
I agree with you Marianne. I will call them as I see them. Both the good and the bad. And the absence of competition in favour of oligopolies has gone on for 5 decades. Way too long. Of course, the Congress should do this, but they can't do anything.

Talk is cheap, unless a wealthy donor paid you for it.

Announcing the obvious, and taking action against THAT obvious, are two mutually exclusive events. You know this, and I know this. When #JoeBiden chooses the latter, I'll be impressed. Until then he's still the biggest promoter and shiller for the corporate state.
Biden mentions a lot of problems, then works to keep them in place.

The first cut is the deepest. Hopefully his words will lead to action and we will have a watershed moment.
