If progressives in Congress aren’t standing up for the likes of Julian Assange and @SDonziger then I’m not sure why they’re called progressives. If freedom of the press & the ability of corporations to prosecute private individuals doesn’t get you riled up then why are you there?

Look to and how things were done to Assange is wrong, but don't put up as such a hero, I don't trust him and ever will even though he is Australia as I am, and there is more to the story, don't like how things were done but don't like the man.

That's where I've come to on this as well. His personality - or what I perceived to be his personality - kept me at arm's length from the story until I looked more deeply into what it's about.

For numerous years I spent months of every year in Sweden and became familiar with the laws/government (I’m dual). There’s so much more than “the charges were dropped.” That doesn’t apply to the United States charges, entirely different. But Assange is not like Donziger.
