If progressives in Congress aren’t standing up for the likes of Julian Assange and @SDonziger then I’m not sure why they’re called progressives. If freedom of the press & the ability of corporations to prosecute private individuals doesn’t get you riled up then why are you there?

Yes, but the issues are very similar and we shouldn’t lose sight of that. Those who challenge the right of huge corporate interests to do whatever they want to whenever they want to will be severely punished.

The Military Industrial Complex and the military itself, which at this point amounts to a huge corporate interest. You think Blackwater mercenaries shooting indiscriminately into a crowd of Iraqis was for our "national security?"
