I’m trying to figure out how Britney Spears only has a court-appointed lawyer. All the people making millions off her and no one hires her someone in Century City? The days of basically imprisoning a woman because she’s “crazy” are supposed over. #FreeBritney

I think she would need outside assistance with hiring one because her father controls the funds. I could be mistaken. But the court ordered atty might not be trash, the judge could be however. Because this is a poor judgement to have a conservator for this long without a break.

Isn't that sick, I had no idea that her lawyer was court appointed until I heard it on a podcast. She gets the same representation as a hooker (no offense to hookers)

Remember, Britney has no idea this is all going on. Basically, the Los Angeles Superior Court appointed her counsel because she wasn’t represented. Why? BECAUSE THEY NEVER TOLD HER ABOUT IT. Why would she have a probate attorney permanently on retainer? Why would anyone?

She is, under her conservatorship, only given $2,0O0/week, with no access to her estate. What kind of lawyer could be afforded with that? Against her father, who has full access to her finances, who uses what is quite literally HER own money to fund his own legal team?
