Climate change now at a place where we’re no longer talking prevention, just accommodation and adaptation. People speak about that casually as though it’s not an unsurvivable option for hundreds of millions of people. It’s like we’re sitting 6 inches from a cliff having a picnic.

Yes. And it is criminal that Exxon scientists and others did not disclose what they knew was happening in the eighties when climate change was a tractable problem.

Avoid the panic. There is climate change but its nowhere near the problem you're making it. If we are truly going to build a better future don't alienate conservative contractors. I've been incorporating energy efficient designs in my work for decades. We are making progress.

The question is how to deal with humans who are wired to be super predators (ie - oligarchs & plutocrats) at the cost of every person's and the planet's life? Grateful for people like yourself who have a voice, but I am not feeling a lot of optimism for posterity.
