Dont think it ever made sense, nothing says the rich that got the tax cut have to use it, spend it, pay their employees etc. Biz is to make $, if you're getting more at same cost, in capitalism that is a good thing.
The middle class were guinea pigs in a 40 economic experiment run by sociopaths. It failed miserably for us but succeeded brilliantly for the rich, so we are stuck with it.
Just to reiterate this fact, we are still getting absolutely screwed here! They need to start cutting checks for at least $549,100 to begin to make up for their theft of wages and taxes through "Pay-go" for those at least 40+ YOA on down, convince me otherwise.
Unfortunately the greed, hubris and self aggrandizing of our political/corporate establishment today never learned the lessons of …one can make mistakes, learn from them, and course correct. I suppose first you have to have a heart!!
