Wow- hopefully the 1st amendment would eventually prevail, but in today’s politicized courts? Ya never know… 😞

If they pass this law ... Police will be able to legally clear an area including stopping all cell phone videos ... then when the area is cleared ... they can beat someone to death ... and there will be no witnesses!

Thinking the same. ACLU and NAACP must each be chomping at the bit.

I thought SCOTUS already ruled on this. Recording police action is legal.

The GOP is very smart. They know that in a fair court setting that this & other pieces of legislation would never get by a 1st Amendment challenge. But the federal courts have been con packed for so long, inc SCOTUS, that at the very least it’ll stay law for a long enough time.

I don't have a cell phone. I have a hand held computer with a phone app and a camera.

Cops are slated to work in the public, for the public, & be evaluated by the public. Like the elected, the appointed are also accountable to the public, for acts despicable & acts heroic. Private eyes, minds, & instruments of the public are free to aid public speech, at will.

I don’t give AF what law they pass. If it’s on a public sidewalk or street, I’ll film whatever the f*** I want.

What's more anti-American than that law?
