This “access to healthcare” nonsense is such a cowardly acquiescence to health insurance companies. Why are we running away from the fact that #Medicare4All is socialized medicine? Just like socialized public education, socialized fire department and socialized police department!

You are absolutely correct. "Access" is the key word, however, access does not allow us to "have" it.

So much of the "Socialist" pushback I get during my #MedicareForAll canvassing comes from military personnel. They somehow don't realize that the military is Socialism too, and often get very mad when that is brought to their attention. LOL.

The commonly accepted definition of socialized medicine is where the government owns the equipment, the facilities, and the processes, and medical staff are employees.

I saw Rashida Talib give the "access to healthcare" dog whistle last week, and I understand we don't have the votes, but the people want this at a 60% clip. Medicare for all should be happening.

I am a strong advocate for mandatory (and improved) #MedicareForAll. We need it. But it is not socialized medicine, which would mean government ownership of hospitals, clinics, equipment, and supplies, and government bosses over nurses and doctors. We do not want that.
