It’s about rotten cop culture-not funding. Fewer rotten cops doesn’t change anything. You can’t solve the problem if you don’t understand it.

A woman running to be village President in my town ran with “reimagine public safety.” I don’t know what the right message is for politicians. Activists aren’t politicians and I think it is just fine for their slogans to be more extreme. Leaves more room in the mushy middle.

The difference between “reallocate” and “defund” is that one is threatening to our corporate overlords and one is not. One will give them the uncomfortable feeling at least SOME change is necessary to keep the peace… and one won’t.

Oh what a talented leader..re-allocate police funds=perfected speech. Creating polemics, conflicts, making 'sides' dosen't help a thing. Doing great things for people is the actual power and way forward.

Moved into mid class neighborhood diverse cultures, safe, small nice homes. We got the skinny from neighbors: no one here calls police for 'help'. Police no longer have our respect and trust. Re allocate indeed!
