People want you to go to the border because they want to know you were on the ground there, you sensed the energy, you talked to people, you sensed what was going on and factored it all in to your report to the president. @VP

I’m not sure about that. I agree about the photo ops, but core to any leadership skill is spending enough time on the ground.

Key to solving difficult problems is looking @ root causes, not the end of the process. The only thing you see @ the border is the tragic result of years of neglect, exploitation & abuse by our govt. & private enterprise of the countries to our south & their people.
