People want you to go to the border because they want to know you were on the ground there, you sensed the energy, you talked to people, you sensed what was going on and factored it all in to your report to the president. @VP

But @vp the problem at the border is due to American sponsor of the corrupt & undemocratic govs in Central America. They collect no taxes from rich companies and individuals. The middle class is to small to pay for everything. This is an old story of US intervention gone wrong馃槕

She should be looking into the symptoms as well as the causes. All are interrelated. Very complicated, but trying to figure it all out is what leaders do. And you can鈥檛 just do it from Washington or from a presidential palace in Latin America. Nothing like being on the ground.
