People want you to go to the border because they want to know you were on the ground there, you sensed the energy, you talked to people, you sensed what was going on and factored it all in to your report to the president. @VP

B/S. All such visits are PR stunts & photo ops. No policy proposals or legislation ever comes from them.

I’m not sure about that. I agree about the photo ops, but core to any leadership skill is spending enough time on the ground.

But @vp the problem at the border is due to American sponsor of the corrupt & undemocratic govs in Central America. They collect no taxes from rich companies and individuals. The middle class is to small to pay for everything. This is an old story of US intervention gone wrong😑

She should be looking into the symptoms as well as the causes. All are interrelated. Very complicated, but trying to figure it all out is what leaders do. And you can’t just do it from Washington or from a presidential palace in Latin America. Nothing like being on the ground.

I disagree, that's a republican talking point. We've been to the border, that's not the problem. Need to go to the source. Get to the root of the problem.

She needs to go to the border. Why would she not? Maybe that instead of meeting w the queen. Or maybe both. Or maybe go to the source in Central America, suffering at the border. . . then queen. Many of us are not impressed by visits w queens these days.

She has gone to Latin America already. And it’s Biden, not Harris, visiting with the queen of England this weekend.

We've seen enough photo ops from the border , time to go to the root of the problem , wouldn't you think?

I’m not talking about a photo op. I’m talking about actually speaking to people there. Being on the ground. This is not a Republican talking point, it’s a leadership talking point.
