Cutting down old growth forests, particularly at a time such as this, is like an act of self harm by a species gone mad.
For thousands of years, these forests have housed species, stabilized our climate, and been the traditional First Nation lands. Today, less than 3% BC’s large-tree old growth forests remain. It’s time to defend these giants. #BCgov #BCpoli #protectthesacred @jjhorgan @bcndp

I remember the fruit trees in our neighborhood. Birds nested & sang in them. We climbed 2 the tippy top 2 get the ripest fruit& our mom/grandma would make pie or cobbler. They were ‘home’ for tag, shade on hot days and jump piles in the fall. Any wonder we mourn their loss 🌲 🌳

Truly. When we destroy our home, Earth, & the air we depend on to live, it’s beyond insane. It’s an ongoing testament to how far removed & distanced people place themselves from each other & literal things like oxygen. When will people learn respect for what’s in their interests?

Political Conservatives believe that the earth renews itself, no matter what humans do to it. And if that holds no water, they give not one shite about the environment. Everything is for money.

It's simply disgusting what they've done, are still doing to old growth.

Totally. The ultimate form of self sabotage. It's actually suicide.

That’s great..!! We have to cut more of these trees, this is a great way to make more money and we need furnitures. That also helps with jobs…! ( See how stupid that sounds? That’s how the decision makers think…)
