1/ A few food companies determine the quality of our food, which is increasingly toxic. The defense industry determines the tenor of our foreign policy, which is driven by weapons sales. A few insurance companies dictate our healthcare policies, which brutally neglect our needs.

Our democracy does not seem to be functioning very well. What are we to do?

We have to passionately support candidates at every level - local, state, and federal - who represent an alternative to the undemocratic, authoritarian forces that now threaten. Those candidates are out there! Here’s a beginning. Candidatesummit.com

I appreciate honesty but isn’t going to work. PPL want/need direct determination over lives. Literally every single reason you became wealthy is what’s wrong. You see solns that continues to grant you entitlement that is killing humanity/natural world. Direct democratic localism
I wish we had time for that but it has run out, it is either revolution (non-violent, non-cooperative) or billions will die. The Founders even stated that the people can replace the government anytime it no longer represents them, well, we are way passed that time.

Change is not coming from inside the Democratic party. You're just wasting another decade pursuing this path, another decade we no longer have.

I get it. But the progressive advance recruits more conservative candidates and alienates moderates - creating the breeding ground for scared conservatives, making Trump possible. How we tend the tree of liberty is the question.
