Journalists should be SCREAMING about this California bill which would require journalists to get permission from a commanding police officer to cover a protest
Here's how the California Senate voted on #SB98, which would require journalists to obtain "authorization from a commanding officer on scene" to access areas closed by police during a demonstration, march, protest, or rally. It heads to the Assembly now.

Replying to @JordanChariton
So basically what’s happening is that American lawmakers are proactively legislating authoritarian measures. It’s like an auto- immune disease.

More and more data coming out showing that auto-immune diseases are caused by underlying chronic stealth pathogens infecting the whole body: which is an even more apt analogy.
Dems are every bit as authoritarian as Reps. It is central to our history & a area of great consensus. Look at videos of BLM protests in Red or Blue run cities. The violence & repression by police are maintains everywhere.

The irony of this passing in California can't be understated. Somewhere in hell, Ronald Reagan is laughing his ass off.

Autoimmune disease really is the PERFECT metaphor for the strain of authoritarianism melting MSNBC liberal brains. President Bloomberg? Spooks on every news channel? Neo-Cold War? NATO-Facebook censorship panel?? Domestic War on Terror??? YES! WE MUST DEFEA— [collapses dead]
