The filibuster is not codified in the constitution and the parliamentarian has only the power to advise. To allow either of them to stand between the people of the US and a thriving, sustainable future is both irresponsible and spineless. @POTUS

Why does it feel like the last 4 years and Mitch McConnell is still leader? Senate wise only talking about
You’re a dangerous extremist attacking the fundamentals of our democracy

But will you fight for the filibuster when Republicans are back in the majority one day? You know those rules work both ways.
"Irresponsible and spineless." With all due respect, both of these explanations imply that the Democratic party isn't actively working to "contain" & suppress the Left. I'd submit that in service to their Wall Street Masters they (Dems) are both dedicated & fearless.

Tell that to Manchin and Sienema
The state of politics in the country right now is extremely frustrating. It is functioning like an exclusive club w the needs of the elites consistently placed higher than the needs of the many. It took a long time to get here, but I’m hopeful that there can be meaningful change
