The filibuster is not codified in the constitution and the parliamentarian has only the power to advise. To allow either of them to stand between the people of the US and a thriving, sustainable future is both irresponsible and spineless. @POTUS

Replying to @marwilliamson
What happens when the politicians get full power to do whatever they want?

We have a Constitution with plenty of checks and balances. The filibuster wasn’t even introduced until 1806 and even then for racist purposes. It should not be treated as a sacred check on unfettered power.

The left used the hell out of it when Trump was in office, now that the tables have turned you want it gone. Go figure.
Are we glad we got rid of the filibuster for federal judicial appointments?

They know that but love the cover of being able to promise one thing and do another.

It really seems like both have become an excuse. Get the media apparatus to get the people to believe we can't do this because the President, the Senators, the House members are all powerful, but not as powerful as the parliamentarian. LOL

You are absolutely correct. The fate of millions in the hands of the few doesn't make sense. Plus, if President Biden is obstructed on his campaign's promises to the People, he is going to have a hard time with the voters, and he will never please the Repbs Abolish the filibuster

What people of the US? There are 100 Senators and all of them represent the interests of states, not people.

Apparently Senators Manchin and Sinema need to hear that!
