Looking thru Twitter you see people saying democracy is dead, democracy is dying, democracy might die, some even questioning whether we ever were a democracy. I see a democracy under attack and a generation rising up to say “HELL NO. It will not die on our watch.”

Unfortunately, democracy favours the average American, not the rich folks, the elites of business and politics. So, don't expect democracy to thrive in a society that is dominated by rich folks and elites. They have all the controls and dominate both old line parties.

How is America operating as a democracy? I can list more reasons why it's not. You have to see it for what it is, the truth or you will never even begin to fix anything. If you are pretending America is operating as a democracy than your part of the problem.

Well, the US is an oligarchy. We just pretend is a democracy so we can keep our sanity.

I think democracy is actually being amplified in the way Ancient Greece was experiencing it before its collapse. So many parallels regarding special interests infiltrating representation, and this time we have social media to enhance the efficiency of weaponized mobs.

You were in the democratic primaries and you think we’re a democracy after that farce? Hilarious.

After the Constitutional convention a lady asked Franklin, "Sir do we have a Democracy?" He replied, "No, you have a Republic if you can keep it." The Founding Fathers never setup a Democracy (because of who they were). We have a Republic.
