Looking thru Twitter you see people saying democracy is dead, democracy is dying, democracy might die, some even questioning whether we ever were a democracy. I see a democracy under attack and a generation rising up to say “HELL NO. It will not die on our watch.”

Democracy is always code for “our hegemony”

After Bernie got blatantly cheated twice I find it hard to believe voting is going to solve anything. Massive civil disobedience and general strike is the only way.

What is Democracy The UK had a straight up...your vote counts...who get the most wins only look at the populations of Scotland NI and Wales...THEN look at England No wonder Scotland got fed up literally whole country voting one way and by the numbers didn't make a difference

Our republic is objectively not a democracy. Legalistic: No constitutional right to vote - it's considered a privilege. The Senate & Electoral College are explicitly non-democratic institutions. Functional: Legislation has been shown NOT to relate to the public's desires.

Democracy died on January 20th, 1981. Everything since has been the death throes.

We live in a representative oligarchy where a select group of ultra rich pay officials to enact laws in their favor, over the will and best interests of the masses. That is not democracy. Yes, we vote. No, that vote does not make our interests represented or give us a real say.
