It still shocks me how difficult this is for most Americans to see. The blindness of privilege is staggering. I felt like there was too much Holocaust talk when I was a kid, but now I understand why the Jewish community does it. #NeverAgain

Growing up Jewish, I was always taught it can happen anywhere, that there is nothing inherently evil about Germans. It’s been a peace mechanism (not hating or fearing Germans) and a defense mechanism (not being denialist about GOP fascism).
