Since Biden is president, why can’t he just appoint a commission to investigate Jan. 6?

You can certainly assume he is neutral with those who don't want him to be the president.

If Congress appoints the commission then they can control it that means people like Nancy Pelosi and others will not be interviewed about what they did to help cause all this.
Biden forgot to appoint one. Pelosi rushed to get a Commission ASAP as rouge ranger. This Commission will see to making insurrection charges stick on citizens jailed for Jan 6 misdemeanors, if that. Charges of insurrection by coercion? Yes. That’s why some beaten in prison.

He can, just like Lyndon Johnson appointed the Warren Commission back in '63. The problem is that the Republicans would be all over it calling it a partisan political maneuver. The only way that he might possibly avoid that kind of taint would be to appoint Republicans also.

Why do we even need an investigation when we all saw, on video, Trump, JR, Hawley, Giuliani, Boebert and Greene, all incite an insurrection in a violent coup attempt. We already know who’s guilty. This is all so ridiculous. America is a 3rd world country, as far as corruption.
