Since Biden is president, why can’t he just appoint a commission to investigate Jan. 6?

Or a commission to investigate voting irregularities.

Because he doesn’t want to?

I was wondering that too. It's supposed to be an independent commission, so I think the Executive Branch not the Legislative Branch should appoint this comission.

Biden is falling into Trump’s traps in turning his attentions to the Wuhan Lab, what a joke!

Mw, Democrats are afraid that an investigation will include all of their liberal tactics that caused it. This includes Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, etc. Out of control violence encouraged by Democrats.

Do you think any of these criminal's are going to hire someone to do a fair investigation? You know they are behind the Jan 6 event. They did not want to lose to Trump. They will destroy our country joyfully.

Indeed. And why not? Because Biden is what he is. He has been a compromiser for decades and even though he claims he doesn’t want to run for a second term, he is too pusillanimous. He can only take on (inherently weak) Muslim countries, not the domestic opposition, nor AIPAC.

.@JoeBiden's goal is a bipartisan commission. He did not learn from the same mistakes Obama made. Republicans are only interested in increasing their own power, to the exclusion of everyone else's.

In 2014, the House (just the House) voted to establish “The Select Committee on Benghazi” …. Nancy Pelosi could do this … However, it seems like they want to play out this bipartisan blame game … which wastes time and limits what they’ll be able to accomplish this term.

Uh, isn’t that the job of the @DOJ?
