Dennis Kucinich introduced a bill to create a US Dept. of Peace in 2007. It had 70 co-sponsors in the House, but never made it out of committee, even though Democrats controlled both houses of Congress + Obama was President. congress.gov/bill/110th-cong… huffpost.com/entry/the-learn…
