We have a better chance of getting twenty colonists to Mars and keeping them alive than we do making any real, meaningful change on this planet.

There are a lot of jobs and inventions that will come out of the research. Some might help fix things here.
Those people need to get over themselves. Figure out how to fix the planet you’ve already decimated. When the Earth is a better place for having humans on it, I’ll feel better about us moving onto a new planet, but for now, humans have NOT earned that privilege.

Nonsense, Marianne, I thought your critical thinking was better than that. People aren't devoid of compassion because they're inspired by space exploration. More than enough $ in the US budget for both, literally a fraction of military spending. Your country chooses war over aid.
