Someone who can spend $600 on a pair of shoes yet argues with a straight face that $300 is too much to give someone who cannot afford food, should not be a lawmaker.

a disingenuous argument. unemployment benefits are not being discontinued and anyone who collected the $300 enhancement (which for an extended period was $600) collected over $15000 in that period which is not insignificant. jobs are available and it's time to get back to work.
