Health insurance companies, Big Pharma, gun manufacturers, chemical companies, food companies, fossil fuel companies, banks & defense contractors first get what they want. Then everything else is divided up - in the most paternalistic, miserly way - to give people what they need.

People aren't getting what they need `cause kleptocrats who control public policy couldn't care less about the people. In serving peoples needs, US slides further down list every year, even life expectancy. Leaders care about themselves & how much ice cream in their freezers.

You keep moaning. America's problems can only be solved if there is will to do what matters. Look, China how it has mobilized millions out of poverty. The confidence of Chinese ppl in its gomen is highest. Both divides won't change the situation unless it's bottoms - up overhaul

Do commercial gun manufacturers get subsidized or have special privileges in any meaningful way? Some notable ones, like Remington and Colt, have gone bankrupt in the last couple of years.
