Realizing that a lot of the worlds problems exist not because we don鈥檛 know how to solve them- but because we lack the political will to do so is deeply frustrating.

That political will is blocked by the undue influence of money on our politics. It is the cancer underlying all the other cancers.

Given the current make-up of the SCOTUS, it鈥檚 unreasonable to think we can overturn Citizens United anytime soon. But the People鈥檚 Act passing the Senate will help, and ultimately we need a constitutional amendment establishing public funding for federal campaigns

Or, and hear me out, we destroy the root of the problem which is capitalism. Fixing the results of capitalism only puts a band aid on a gaping wound and creates new problems.
