This is so wrong. So terribly, terribly wrong.
Standing behind an elderly woman at @cvspharmacy and she’s buying insulin. $1200. She’s visibly upset, and I’m trying not to cry also. Pharmacist says “well at least your insurance paid for over half bc the cash price is over $3000” HOW HAVE WE LET THEM CONVINCE US THIS IS OKAY?

Here in Texas today, we've got police investigating the apparent murder of a toddler, who was found dead in the street. This country is a sick, sick joke in so many ways.

Agreed .... and in this case for something like Insulin which has been around and used for lord knows how many decades should NOT have a price of $3000. Hell it shouldnt be $1200 before discounts. Big pharm & Ins companies are just robbing ppl blind daily

It’s not ok. It’s thuggery. She’s being robbed and her life is at stake if she doesn’t pay up. Big Pharma is evil. They patent drugs and procedures that we the taxpayers paid to develop. Then they hold us hostage to blackmail.

This is theft ... A year's supply of Insulin should cost between $50 and $70 and not $3,000 ... This is disgusting!

So if the patent on insulin has already expired , why hasn’t another company capitalized on the fact it costs $6 to make and drastically undercut the price ? On another note what justifies charging $3000 for something that costs 6 fucking dollars to make ???!!!
