Standing behind an elderly woman at @cvspharmacy and she’s buying insulin. $1200. She’s visibly upset, and I’m trying not to cry also. Pharmacist says “well at least your insurance paid for over half bc the cash price is over $3000” HOW HAVE WE LET THEM CONVINCE US THIS IS OKAY?

I have been diabetic for quite some time my doctor just never diagnosed it..and I can tell you when I ended up at Scripps Green with a dangerous diabetic stroke I got a shot of insulin in my stomach that may have saved my life. You have to have it- and its not ok

Marianne... You can travel to Perú, where a 5 shot box of insuline runs for 70 bucks. Even considering the travel costs, it's cheaper!

I'd really like to know the mark up. I bet the Pharmacy doesn't make that much on it. Most goes to the pharmaceutical companies. But yeah this is terrible.
