Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas says he spoke with Biden today, and says he urged Biden to intervene in Israeli attacks, per a statement. (The White House hasn't yet confirmed the call took place.)

That’s not something that Biden can just jump on the phone and do. But he can exert a lot of influence on a phone call, for sure.

Arguably the most effective way he could exert a lot of influence in that phone call would be to straight-up threatened to withdraw all military aid. PM Netanyahu would hear that message load and clear.
