.@RepLizCheney speech tonight was 100% right on. At a certain point this is not about left versus right, itā€™s about democracy versus authoritarianism.

It's because @marwilliamson doesn't understand that it is actually about rich vs labor and that it is about the inherent fascism of capitalism bc it can only exist through the exploitation of the poor by the wealthy via authoritarian means of manipulation and control.

Then I'm sure you also understand that the US is far from a democracy already. We are what Sheldon Wolin calls an inverted totalitarian state. The leaders say pretty things to placate the populous but mean none of it. When a Cheney for example says nice things, it is pure deceit
