When it falls into the hands of the GOP in 2022, will they regret they abolished it?

It's human instinct to remove obstacles, why do the democrats hold onto the filibuster? Seems they are doing it on purpose.

Maybe in an alternate reality where the Democratic party is an actual opposition party & not part of the Duopoly. The filibuster provides "cover" for the Democrats leaving us four dead during a Pandemic without M4A or UBI; caving on $15/hr........

Manchin! Manchin Manchin Manchin. And Sinema.

The filibuster is used as an excuse as to why popular policies cannot pass. It is much more of an instrument for them not to do anything because they don't really care.

Ummm...can you just tag the 2 Dems & not paint the entire party. Ohh & don't listen to Omar.

They WANT to lose it all in the midterms, so they can return to fundraising "to take back the house/senate". Having control is too much work. Its exhausting creating excuses why stuff can't get done.

i'm very open to abolishing the filibuster... ...but i think it's important to recognize that i think it's just as likely that if the democrats DO abolish it, they will one day wish they had not.
