Pretty much the exact opposite is true, and it has actually bit them in the ass before. (see SCJ confirmation)

Your statement proves it is for partisan political gain! You want an agenda rammed through. I think it would be best to require 2/3 of the Senate vote to pass everything…across the board! Then the only things that will pass are things that truly have some bipartisan support.

Really it comes down to @Sen_JoeManchin , and 'that one day' you talk about would just be him joining the GOP, so no he won't wish it at all.

FILIBUSTER, James Madison primary author of Const wrote requiring more than simple maj to pass legis would violate the fundamental principle of free govt, “It would no longer be the maj that would rule, the power would be trans to the minority.

No they won't. The threat of the filibuster is one of their favorite excuses that they like to use for inaction. I have NO confidence that they will even attempt to get rid of it. They don't even force filibusters to happen at this point. They just immediately fold to the threat.

She is absolutely right ... talking with the Republicans is a waste of time ... Mitch has already drawn a line in the sand ... spend your precious time negotiating with conservative democrats ... and junk the Filibuster!

I would love to see the Democrats blow up the filibuster and then promptly lose the House and Senate in 2022, because that’s exactly what would happen (and has a good chance of happening anyways).
