"I suffered through student debt and so should you" At what point did we decide that making the world a better place for each new generation was a bad thing?

Perhaps the first generation of Americans with no collective sense of responsibility to provide for those younger than us. The door too narrow now; not enough young people can get in. If you don't really grow up yourself you don't accept the responsibilities that go along with it

Thankfully it's not too late to turn that around, and I am hopeful that those going through all these hardships now will do something about it once they get into power.

Do u think Fox News are part of the “gargantuan regressive forces” posing a threat to our fragile democracy, Marianne?

Have you gotten wind about what's going on with #AMC and #GME? It would be huge if we could have big names like you on board

So true. My children are experiencing this harsh reality right now. I bought my first house when I was 23 working for 10 dollars and my husband made 15 an hour. But that was in 1990.

My student loans 30 years ago were at much lower interest with more favorable payment options than loans made today. Also more of my parents’ tax dollars supplemented higher education than we do today. Finally I immediately earned enough to live well after graduating.

There’s always talk of the student debt and never the colleges who have billions in endowments which never provided the service they were supposed to. Raid the endowments and cut costs coupled with student debt reduction
