You should get your facts straight

It has been nearly 24 hours since sources confirmed that the fire was started by Palestinians, not Jewish settlers. Despite this, @RashidaTlaib and @btselem have not taken down these posts. At this point, this is reminding of an antisemitic blood libel.

But that’s a separate issue

That you don’t care to speak up about?

What is there to speak up about? Of course the Palestinian- Israeli conflict is filled with lies on both sides, pretty much all the time. The point is to discern the main dynamics and to seek somehow to correct them.

I have never once seen you post about an Israeli being killed. Or a Palestinian government official calling for the genocide of Israel. Or the vibrant diversity of Israel. It’s only bash bash bash. How come all the pressure is on the Israelis and never Palestinian leadership?

I don’t bash Israel. You can say that I do but I don’t.

I consider your onesidedness. I also think the lack of mention you have for Palestinians in Arab countries such as Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria have worse living conditions, fewer rights, lower life expectancy and less education attainment. Why does no one care about them?

I am not one-sided. I recognize the tragedy of all this no less than you do. And the irony. And the unfairness. But the fact remains that the oppression of the Palestinians has got to stop. The occupation and the settlements are wrong, and nothing in our past can justify them.

But how is this equivalent to the pay to slay program? Or hamas having in their charter for palestine to be from the river to the sea. How about Abbas saying no jews will ever live in a future palestine? How about hamas arresting a peace activist for zooming w israelis?

I understand. I really really do. It is heartbreaking. But until the Israeli government changes its policies there will never be peace. I understand all of it, everything you say. But we’re the ones who have to change. It is God, not brute force that is the source of our strength

It’s the fact that you can only seem to speak up on one side. Hamas will launch 150 rockets and Israel will launch 1 back and you’ll condemn the 1. Literally WVEYERONE tries holding the israeli government to account. Why does no one care to do this for the Palestinian government?
