You better believe there are safety codes in buildings to guarantee that stairs are safe. Why are you arguing against safety rules? Do you think we should remove all traffic lights?

Parents are responsible for the safety of the kids they chose to have. Kids still fall down stairs so they haven’t prevented that at all - instead you would naturally expect the parent to take care and ensure the child is safe on or near them - just like exercise equipment...
